Wicked nice trailer

Very nice Trek Transit Deluxe Trailer. Made by Chariot in Canada- many say these are better than Burley trailers and I agree.

-TONS of space for your kiddos, their gear, your gear, your picnic, a tent and even a kitchen sink.

-Room for 2 kids in front with a storage trunk area in back. I've seen children up to 6 years old in these things.

-Parking brake which makes loading and unloading a breeze.

-The fabric is polyester (not nylon) which means the colors wont fade.

These are GREAT for touring / grocery getting as well!

This trailer is in like-new condition and everything is included - hitch, jogging kit, flag, bug screen and rain cover.

Kmart had a touring bike??

Ran into a rare beast this weekend. Not rare in the hard to find and much sought after sense. More like rare because they all fell apart before they could hang around long enough to be considered old or vintage.

It was a generic brand department store touring bike. I see plenty of generic road bikes and cruisers, and plenty of good name brand quasi touring bikes, but a generic real TOURING bike!?

A gaspipe road frame with relaxed angles, a long wheelbase and cheap as hell bolt on cantilever bosses. Of course, in true junk form, one of the bolts was missing so you could only mount half a brake on the back without having to track down some crazy hard to find (impossible?) part.

The bike had obviously been crashed. Hard. The fork was bent so bad, the wheel barely cleared the downtube and the serious ripple-marks underneath the paint showed the true extent of the damage.

The bike was priced to move at $30. It wasnt old or quaint enough to be lawn-art. It was nowhere near ridable in it's current state, and no way worth fixing up (or even buying for parts, at half the price.) $30 for some poor unlucky well-meaning DIY noob to kill himself on what is possibly the most unsafe bike known to man? I hope not!

1985 Vintage Schwinn Mirada Mtn/City bike, READY TO RIDE -- 5'4-5'10

1985 Schwinn Mirada, 18in frame middle of crank to top of seat tube, 29in standover fits rider 5ft4 to 5ft10.

First year Schwinn Mirada, 15 Speeds, comfy wide sprung saddle, upright position, and long wheelbase for a very comfortable ride. 4130 CroMo Frame, nice long trail fork w/super cool old school bi-plane style crown, NEW wide cushy semi-slick tires soak up potholes and roll fast. Smooth friction thumb shifters. Sakae SA crankset w/upgraded outer ring, awesome original Sakae stem, nice CroMo chrome plated riser bars, color matched dia compe motorcycle style brake levers, SR city pedals, dia compe cantilever brakes. Alloy hubs, rims are unlabeled but look a hell of a lot like Ukai if you ask me.

FORGED HORIZONTAL dropouts for future single speed / internal gear hub action. Sweet!

Has eyelets for fenders and rack front and rear, with one bottle cage mount. Would make an awesome commuter / city or trail bike / light all terrain touring/trekking bike.

There are some paint scratches and light surface rust from locking up the bike, etc, but the frame is very solid - not a single dent. Wheels spin nice, shifting is smooth, it stops, it goes, it's good to go.
